BIO-QUANT AWARDED FULL AAALAC ACCREDITATION
SAN DIEGO, CA, October 27, 2008 --Bio-Quant Inc ("Bio-Quant") the largest biotech Contract Research Organization (CRO) in San Diego, announced today that it has received full accreditation from the Association for the Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC) International. AAALAC is an internationally recognized, not-for-profit organization, which promotes the humane treatment of animals in science through voluntary accreditation and assessment programs.
As a result of an extensive on-site evaluation, AAALAC determined that Bio-Quant is committed to the highest level of animal care and research practices.
In addition, AAALAC noted the following in its official approval letter: that “The management and staff are commended for providing satisfactory facilities and programs for the care and use of laboratory animals. Especially noteworthy were the experienced leadership…of the Institutional Animal Care and Use committee (IACUC) chair and the Vivarium Manager and the comprehensive animal’s enrichment program.”
