VitiGo is a natural product with potential indication for Vitiligo. Vitiligo affects 1 to 2% of people worldwide. Approximately 2 to 5 million people are affected in the US. VitiGo preclinical studies suggest that addition of VitiGo to skin resulted in coloration of epidermis after 48 hours. Bio-Quant is finalizing an out-licensing agreement for VitiGo with a pharmaceutical company. Bio-Quant expects to receive a license fee, milestone payments as well as royalties. In addition, the agreement will include a sponsored joint development plan. Bio-Quant is planning to obtain orphan / botanical drug status and initiate a human proof of concept trial for this product candidate.
